Connecting to the Internet (Linux Live CD)
I just got a new Linux Live CD called SLAX KillBill Edition v 5.0.6.
I can get it to boot and run just fine, but the problem is that when I try to access the internet it will not connect. I have a wireless internet connection via a USB adapter. I don't think that it is recognizing the USB External Adapter to use to access the net. I don't know much about linux so I could be very wrong . Anyway any instructions or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Unfortunately, wireless cards are not yet fully supported in Linux. It would be useful if you find out what card you have, and look it up on the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) on this site. You might get some help there getting it working, if it will work. If not, try searching google.com/linux for it.
Good luck with getting linux working. I can tell you, a little perseverance at this time will reap rewards later .

Well, there are no modules loaded there for wireless devices. If you tell me what card you have, I could recommend a solution. Without that info, there is little I can do.
One live CD that works well with most hardware, and I have heard works well with wireless cards as well, is Ubuntu. You could search for your card and Ubuntu on google, to see if it is compatible.

I think you are going to have to have a manufacturers model part, like USB124, something like that, then have a look.

As stated before, all of your answers are in the HCL. Here is a link:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/sh...cat/144/page/1
Take a look. If it doesnt have all you need, use google, as it is your friend.
