Configuring sendmail to return Vacation Messages

Hi all,

Im running a mail server on a Linux Red Hat version 8.0. Im wondering, how does one go about configuring sendmail to return vacation messages to a sender, telling him or her that the receiving party is away on a holiday or is having his/her off day. The version of sendmail im using is V. 8.12.10. Is there some third party software that i must use?

As im new to Linux, I hope this messages does not sound ridiculous to any of you.

Thanks for your help.

I actually use the vacation message from the webmail program that I have running so I dont know how or if you can set that up with sendmail. I do all of my sendmail configuration with webmin. If you dont have webmin installed, you might want to install that as it is a very nice interface for configuration of servers, etc. I will check the sendmail module in webmin to see if there is any autoresponder setup.
