Depends on the type of modem, but Google is always a good start.

Hate to say this but if its an Alcatel Speed Touch USB modem then good look to you. I have spent AGES trying to get mine working but no matter what I do it will not work. I have asked on a different forum about this and nobody could get it working. The only solution is to get a router, which does have its advantages, such as multiple PC's connecting at once and its very easy to configure. Once you have set a router up you hardly ever have to change any settings on it. I am going to get one soon (when I have enough money).

I got an Hamlet usb HDSL 640.
But I got an idea too.
I made it work under emulation with vmware in my computer.
The host obviusly is my MDK9 , while my guest os is a simple win98.

They can yet comunicate (guest and host) with a virtual LAN connection.

So...
Could i set the guest win98 to be a kind of proxy for linux?

I want to use kmail soon
