Computer randomly freezes regardless of distro.
Hi, this is here 'cause I don't know where it should go.

Anyway, my old computer freezes at any time, regardless of what distro I put on it, or live-cd I use.
I know that it must be a problem with the computer itself, but it only started doing this like two weeks ago.

I would like to get it working for my parents(cranky old...people).

It's got -

about 500mb ram,
some old-ass processor and video card(No idea what),
3 hard-disks(a 30gb, a 6gb and an 80gb),
and it's i386,

not to mention it's like 5 years old.

Yeah that's about it, thanks in advance :)

I would start with cleaning the interior, and see if everything is connected as it should.
Also try to do a memory test

I would suspect the RAM, in this case. Check it out.
