Computer freezes when using a 3d app in SUSE 9.2

Hi. Im using SUSE 9.2 Pro and I am having a problem that when I use a 3d accelerated game in linux (either a native one or cedega) the computer freezes, including the keyboards numlock.

Im using a Pentium III 1.0GHZ, 320MB RAM, 64MB Radeon 7000 PCI and a disabled onboard i810 4MB card.

Some examples of programs that freeze are TuxKart, SoulRide and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (running in Cedega 4.2).

Thanks in advance for any help, and if you need more info on the problem just ask

Have you installed the ATI drivers? And enabled 3d acceleration for your card? And when you say freeze, do you mean right after you start the game the whole comp locks up or can you play the game for a while and the computer then locks up?
