Kernel Compiler: How I spent my summer vacation


Ok, I'm being facetious, and I did NOT make this. I found this today and thought all of us that just hate hate HATE compiling our kernels would appreciate hearing about this.

Hmmm, this guy sounds EXTREMELY lazy to me..

Sounds like it takes all the fun out of compiling a kernel. I read the story but I can see several steps where a script like that would fail for me. I use a chain of bootloaders and they aren't all lilo or grub. The part that really takes the longest like finding out what to enable/disable in the kernel still has to be done by hand. And the build/install commands can all be typed on one line. All it adds is those extra checks to make sure everything goes right. I guess those might be usefull. I don't think it's something I would use though.
