Jose Muñiz Member Registered: Jul 2003 Location: Mexico City Distribution: Slackware 9.1, SuSE 9.1 Posts: 248 Rep:	Changing Window Manager in GNOME Ok. I think I more or less understand about the X Window System now. However, I wanted to see what modifications would happen to GNOME if I change its window manager. So I went to the GConf -> desktop/gnome/applications/window_manager There, in the key where it reads "metacity", I replaced it with twm (I later tried with /usr/X11R6/bin/twm). Then I restarted GNOME, went back to GCONF and bang... "metacity" is there again. Could anyone help me out? Thanks a lot!
