Changing Resolution

I just switched from Suse 8.0 to Redhat 7.3 and I noticed that Suse runs the virtual terminals at 1024*768 resolution while Redhat has the virtual terminals set at 640*480 (I think).
Just to prevent sore eyes (I use the virutal terminals a lot), does anybody know how to switch the resolution to something higher?

(Just in case it helps, I use Redhat 7.3 with a GeForce 256 with the nvidia driver set provided by Nvidia)

Thanks in advance,
oostevo

You can do a thorough reconfiguration of the X server by running xf86config as root. To change resolutions dynamically, press Control + Alt and the + (plus) key to increase the resolution, and Control + Alt and the - (minus) key to decrease the resolution. These dynamic changes may be limited, depending on the actual configuration of your X server.
