change th comp name


can we change localhost to sth different?
and when using apache... we have to write http://localhost can we change it to http://myname ?

add
127.0.0.1 myname
to your hosts file in /etc

You might need to tell you http server thats it called myname or you may find it acts a little oddly. You should already have a 127.0.0.1 line in /etc/hosts, you don't need to add a new one, just add myname to the end of the existing one.
