How to change root password on Fedora Core 2 OS, with Grub 0.94?

Do you mean the grub is password protected or have you forgotten the root password?

I forgot root password. Recover through grub

At the boot menu, highlight the linux entry and type e
highlight the kernel line and type e
go to the end of that line and type init 1 then press the enter key
while on the kernel line type b
That will boot you up to level one ( init 1 ) as root user.
Change the password with the command: passwd

log in as root, then issue 'passwd' command and follow the prompt.
