Change access time of files via c-program code

using fstat() or stat() one can easily obtain information about files (in the structure stat).

How is it possible to change (!) these attributes, especially the time of last access (st_atime)?

Any help would be very helpfull.

Might be better to ask that in the programming forum. But to do it from commmand line, I think the touch command does it.
