Post CD reading problems (rh9)

Hello!

Has anybody experienced something like this:

When I put in a (data) CD, and I try to open some PDF doc. from nautilus or navigate
the CD from Konqueror, mostly, everything works. But sometimes it takes an ethernety
to show the files in some directory, or open some 8 Mb PDF. I just keeps reading and
reading and reading the CD, then the mouse pointer freezes, than it unfreezes and
I am able to kill Konqueror (or Nautilus).

PS I don't believe that the medium is problematic.

Thank you.

Maybe your drive is problematic. Mine is and it does this sort of thing all the time. Still, I get by.... (sigh)
