Question CD Player. Sound only works with Kaffeine, XMMS is "silent" :(

When I insert an Audio CD, SUSE detects that its an Audio CD and changes the desktop icon appropriately. If I launch ANY CD player, it loads the song / playlist and begins the minute / second count, but NO audio is heard. I can launch Kaffeine and get sound, but Xmms is what I'd like to be able to use

It seems like you haven't connected your soundcard and CDROM drive with audio cable. Try in XMMS Audio I/O "CD Audio player" plugin preferences turn on Digital sound extraction.
