I used to run fc3 (Fedora Core 3) on my computer, but recently I wanted to update to fc4. After updating and logging in to KDE, I have these ANNOYING shortcuts on my desktop that link to the mount points for both of my cdrom drives.
When right clicking on the two icons, no delete option is provided.
When I go to the properties, under the "General" tab it says its location is:
Location: / (media)
I'm clueless......
Anyone know how to remove these links...
THANKS in advance,
Bendeco
Log in as root. The links are actually files in /home/user/Desktop. The file names will be the same as the icon name displayed on the desktop. root can delete these files and the icons will disappear.
I've looked in my home/user/Desktop directory and all thats in there are these files:
.directory
trash.desktop
Thanks anyways jallbait for the suggestion...
It just puzzles me how they don't actually show up in the Desktop directory, but they are still shown on the desktop.
If anyone has any other ideas I'd LOVE to hear them....
