cant download

i just installed fc4 andi cant finish downloading anything. what i mean by this is it will start downloading, but then will freeze. sometmes the download will kick start and download a bit more, then freeze again. i dotn know whats cuaseing this, but id sure like to know. im running fc with only 128 mb ram. could that be the problem? i dont thin it is, but if its being caused by somehting like that, i could easily remedy it.

How large is your /tmp directory? Is it full? I once had the same problem while downloading 500 MBs worth of updates and realized to my horror that it was full to the last byte. Reintstalled Fedora without splitting up the different directories to avoid undersizing

i dont think thats the problem buz i have 5.4 gigs left of tmp space because its on my / partition. i got it to finish downloading a whole rpm last night by saying little prayers when the download froze up. any other ideas?
