Cannot start X, inet6 errors and more, please help!


Ok, I have a fresh install of Slackware 10 on this system:

AMD Athlon XP 2500+
Asus A7N8X Deluxe Rev2.0 mobo
PNY Geforce 4 Ti4200 64mb AGP8X

When I try startx I get this:

I searched the web and this forum for these errors and this is very common but it seems no one has the answer! Please help me out to fix this!

Did you rerun xorgconfig,try it with the nv driver or vesa and don't get to picky at first,you can adjust later.Once you get online you can install the NVIDIA driver for your card.

hey thanks a lot, after playing around with different settings in xorgconfig I finally did get it to work using the nv drivers. I then installed the latest nvidia drivers from the nvidia site and all is good Thanks again!
