Cannot install KDE 3.0.1...

It kept on insisting that I have a conflict with KDE 2.2!!! Help me!!!

Note:
Mandrake 8.2 and using 'urpmi' to do the compiling, mind you.

Stephanie_new 05-29-2002 02:52 PM

I should note that using the command "urpmi" is not compiling anything. It is an RPM package management tool command.

And you say you are getting a conflict... what kind. Is it giving you any more info?

Are you aware the you have to be completely out of KDE and X and only be on the console to do this install, not in an X console.

Admiral Yoshi 05-29-2002 04:12 PM

Thanx. I will try to install in the console.

I know Urpmi is part of the RPM thing, but I like the word "compiling". I know it should be "extracting, installing"

DeadPuddle 05-29-2002 04:18 PM

Yes, I like the word "compiling" too.

:D
