Cannot access cdrom and floppy drives

Hello,

I installed and compiled the new kernel 2.6.0 on my linux box wich is running a Debian based distro, and i think i got everything right except for the fact that now i can't seem to access the cdrom and floppy drives.

I suppose that i did not enable the right options regarding this when compiling but now i don't know what those options are!

Could somebody help me?

Hi!

What happens if you try to mount a floppy or a CD? Did you include support for FAT (floppy) and ISO9660 (CD) file systems?

Regards
Martin

Thta's the thing, i don't know if i included support for that or not. I don't know what the options that i have to enable are.

By the way, my linux box is an ASUS L3500D laptop with an AMD athlon XP 2000+
