Cannnot send external email...

Hello Everyone,

I am having a major problem with a new server i just installed. The server is a RH 7.2 and i am trying to configure it for virtual hosting.

The problem is that i cannot send any emails to any external addresses. here is the error

'philg_124@hotmail.com' on 24/08/2002 12:31
550 5.7.1 <philg_124@hotmail.com>... Relaying denied. IP name lookup failed [210.54.136.34]

Does anyone have any idea?

Go into sendmail allow relays file and put * there

Ok i have edited the /etc/mail/access file and added the following like:

* RELAY

I ran the following commands after:

/usr/bin/makemap hash /etc/mail/access < /etc/mail/access
/usr/bin/newaliases
/etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail restart

this did not fix the problem :-) Could this posiblly have anything to do with dns?
