Question can zaurus play midi files?


This is pretty straight forward. I have an sl-5500, in media player it says somthing about a codec required. Is there one i can get? where can i get it? is it possible? Help!! midis are my favotite format for their compressed size.

well, if you can compile on your zaurus or at least for your zaurus, give timidity++ a try i't a really good midi player/converter that i've used for playing my midis, it works much better than even apple computer's quicktime midi, in fact it's as good i would say as having a midi instrument attached to your computer via midi cable !

so timidity++ will convert my midi's into a zaurus compatible file?
will they still retain there compresion and sound?

Have you searched on google, It sounds like your after a convertor from a propriatary codec. Could you please post some more information.

timidity can convert to .wav but if your zaurus has a compatible sound output driver it can also play them without conversion
