Can you collect virus logs from Windows machines to a Linux box

Hi,

I'm working in a mixed Linux/Windows environment and my boss needs me to collect virus logs from our Windows machines onto his Linux box. The virus scans happen at 1AM and we're thinking of putting the virus logs in a shared folder and then scheduling a cron job to collect all of them. Please post if anybody has any better ideas.

Thanks,

jongun

That sounds like the best approach to me. If you have samba running you could just get the virus logs to go directly to the samba shared folder eliminating the need for the cron job but I don't think that is such a big deal.
