Can I mount the bios?

I was wondering whether it was possible to mount the bios and edit the files there? I know its dangerous but it would be fun to just poke around.

Also, if i can access the bios, does it have a "tree-style" directory layout. Like being files and directories.

Mainly what I want to do is edit my boot logo..

you can enter bios and change settings, etc. not a good idea if you don't know what you're doing. you can flash the bios or update the bios depending on it's age, and availability. have a read here.

You can't mount the BIOS because it does not contain files or a filesystem like a drive. It is possible to modify the BIOS but you need to know what you are doing. Using the DOS BIOS flash utility you can copy the BIOS to a file. Its going to be a binary file i.e. no text so you need some info on the address where the image is stored at.

BTW if you make a mistake in modifying the BIOS code or if rewriting the new BIOS doesn't work you could render the motherboard inoperative.
