can I make KDE tile windows?

I never had any use for cascading windows, but back when I used Windows, I sometimes tiled them. My KDE (in MEPIS 8) doesn't offer that, at least not on the desktop right-click menu. Is there any other way to tile windows?

By the way, what's the point of "unclutter windows"? I selected that to see what would happen, and the first time, it changed the size of one window. I thought that happened because it partly obscured the other window; to verify that, I deliberately resized one window to block another window, then selected Unclutter Windows again. This time, nothing happened.

If you mean like ion, awesome, xmonad or ratpoinson, then the answer is no. However the idea has arised more than once.

I have no idea if the project is evolved or was abandoned. In kde3 you could use any wm of your choice, so it was teorethically possible to use kde with a tiling wm by correctly setting the KDEWM variable. I have no idea how the new kde4 plasma thingie plays with other wm's, if at all. But you could try that.

I'm not sure I know the name of my window manager. It's whatever window manager MEPIS 8 comes with, because I haven't changed it.
