Can anyone figure this out?

RH8, Kde, Opera

How come when i make a shortcut to a website and click on a link i get a message that says "could not find file" and the address bar shows my localhost directory on everylink i put my cursor on. When i goto
http://www.onlamp.com/linux/cmd/ every link to a command is addressed to my localhost directory and not just this site every site i make a shortcut to, if i open up opera or mozilla i can goto the sites fine and they work like theyre supposed to. Thanks for any help.

Because when you made that "shortcut", I'll bet you copied the HTML file to your system. When you click on that to invoke it, any relative link in that file will now be resolved relative to the path on your system where the file was saved.

I don't know Opera, but I do know the web, and it sounds like this is what's happening. Look at those files on disk to see if the HTML for those pages is really in them.
