Can't view Apple.com commercials in Firefox
 
Help-I love looking at the apple.com movie on their website but I cant but it wont play.

IIRC, you would need a Quicktime plugin for that. However that does not exist on Linux. You can look here for a possible work-around.

mplayer and mplayer plugin should be able to do it.

I use fedora, so yum install mplayer gets it installed.

mplayer allows me to play all media files so far. Great program.

Quicktime, or whatever codec it needs, is evidently pretty easy to come by. I didn't go out of the way to find any esoteric codecs and I can watch those commercials fine.

I found the answer:

Install Quicktime for Firefox:

sudo yum install mplayer mplayer-gui mplayer-skins mplayer-fonts mplayerplug-in mencoder
sudo /usr/bin/mozilla-plugin-config -i -f

Now I can watch quicktime stuff in Firefox.Yeah.
