Can't Upload FTP
Ok guys, after messing around with linux for a bit i'm kinda getting used to this cool environment. Ok, but here's the problem, my friend is getting linux so that he can have an FTP server. He has redhat 8.0 and the network is all configured and ftp is up. However, i can download from his server no problems, but whenever i try to upload something i get "Upload failed on <ip address> <file name> {connection reset by peer}." I can't seem to upload anything to him. I changed the directory to full permission by doing "chmod 777 <dir name>" and i turned off the firewall. In hosts.allow file, i even added my ip address (is that how u do it?). Could it be that the ISP is blocking port 21???
Any suggestions would be very helpful...thank you guys...
