can't run X programs remotely
Hello
I have suse 9.3 which has KDE 3.4. When I was using mandrake 10.1, I used to be able to ssh to my university and start , say matlab remotely. (the matlab GUI windows shows up my screen). But now, if I try to start matlab, I get the message " Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:".
The computer I sshed in isn't recongnizing my X? How can I fix it?
Thanks.
SUSE 9.3 makes stupid ajustments. I can't run X remotely, which is totally against the unix philosophy.
