can't reinstall Linux

Hi, i'm trying to re-install linux from CD but once the installer is loaded linux instalation disk displays a window that says:" There is no a RedHat Linux disk oyur drive...." or something like that. So, this server used to use webmin, i'm thinking in maybe a hacker that does not allow to re-install linux, another issue is that if i try to open any of system tools program, it just doesn't do anything. Please help me if somebody knows where and how can i fix this. Thanks a lot.

If you're doing a fresh install off the install disks, there really shouldn't be anything a hacker could have done (unless he had a key to your house and burned corupt cds ;)). If you want to be absolutely sure of this, then you can format your drive first. Beyond that though, i'd reccomend trying a different install disk.

>or something like that

You are more likly to get a helpful response if you quote the _exact_ error message.

I would suggest that your disk is corrupted.. get a copy off a friend or download a new ISO image and burn again.

This happened to me once and i had no friends with the CD's etc and couldnt use the linux box so I had to go through the tedious process or removing everything, installing windows, downloading the ISO and then burning it... then tried again... hahah sounds long and tedious cause it was :P
