i have already installed apache2+php4+mysql
this combination is working perfectly
i've also installed j2sdk1.4, set JAVA_HOME and exported it to path.....so java also works properly
but i cant get tomcat started up....
i unzipped jakarta-tomcat-5.5.0 in my /usr folder, set CATALINA_HOME to /usr/jakarta-tomcat-5.5.0......when i run the startup.sh..this comes:
[root@nehru bin]# ./startup.sh
Using CATALINA_BASE: /usr/jakarta-tomcat-5.5.0
Using CATALINA_HOME: /usr/jakarta-tomcat-5.5.0
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /usr/jakarta-tomcat-5.5.0/temp
Using JAVA_HOME: /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_05/
but no server is started...ther eis no connection on port 8080.....did i miss anything?
