can't find ld-elf.so.1

I just installed the latest version of wine and it seems to have deleted the ld-elf.so.1 file. I have searched the net as well as my redhat 9 disks and I can't find this file. One note I found said that it resides in libstdc++, but when I uninstalled and re-installed the libstdc++ and libstdc++-devel it didn't work. This is frustrating. Anybody help?

What distribution are you using? I don't even have this file on my own Linux system and everything I find refers to BSD for this file.

I am running redhat 9.

The reason why I am looking for the file is when I try to run some programs, including wine I now get:
bash: /usr/local/bin/wine: /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: bad ELF interpreter: No such file or directory

I would assume it comes with one of the ELF packages since it states.. "bad ELF interpreter" in the error message.
