Can't access new share

Can't access a new folder I created (as root) on my RedHat 8 box. I have created the same type of folder in the past by copying the SMB.cfg entry of another folder and changing the name and path...then creating the new folder referenced in the SMB.cfg file..Start and Stop SMB services. When I try to connect to this folder from XP I get the error "\\share is not accessible..might not have permissions...the new path not found"...but...

The folder permissions are exactly like the others I have created in the past and I can access those no problem....

Perms are Administrator / Administrator Drwxr_xr_x....this works for the other folders I created back in April...but not the new one?

Any ideas whats going on?

Have you used the console command testparm to check for syntax errors in the smb.conf file.

I used testparm and it says Loaded Services File OK...I really dont know anything about testparm...I dont see any errors....

Funny thing is this is just a cut ad paste job I have done before without issues....all the other folders I made in the past (exactly same config and perms) work ok....I am logged in as administrator when trying to access this new folder...I just dont see what would stop me...
