Angry Buyers Beware!

SuSE 9.3 for only $4.99 ?

Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware! is a fraud.

They claim to sell Linux distro's at rock bottom prices.

In reality, they masquerade the paypal site to capture your account password.

Any legitimate seller using paypal would send you an invoice for your order. The invoice is generated through the paypal site, thereby confirming your order. You can then use PayPal to pay this invoice, in the normal manner, using the https paypal url from your browser "Address" box. should boot them off their site.

I'm not sure I can see this happening although I never purchased anything. The paypal login screen was delivered to me from what seems to be a real paypal webserver.

Can you clarify what this has to do with LQ?

A quick search suggests that pctech101 may be selling illegal copies of some linux distros, but that's the only problem I see at the moment... The credit card service is apparently legit...

First of all, this is not a Linux technical question.

Secondly, if you bought or purchased products from a company and the transaction ended up in some kind of dispute, you need to keep such things private and handle such things off the forums here at

Thirdly, if pctech101 has ads on, they are most likely generated thru the google ads, etc.

You have any problems with our rules, take it up with the admin.

I am closing this thread. If you or anyone has an issue with a seller you should contact the seller themselves or your Trading Standards/Better Business/"Local Variation" offices.

If you have an issue with a member of LQ, you should either take it up with them off-line or contact Jeremy, the site admin.
