Burning CDs through the Network???

I just purchased a Mandrake fileserver for our organization's (Win and Mac) network, and the machine has a CD-RW. Not every computer on the network has a CR-RW, so I'd like to allow users to drop files to a directory on the fileserver and burn a CD from there.

Does anyone know how to do this? I know it can be done, but I'm looking for a simple solution for the others on the network--no one here will be willing to do things through a command line.

Is there maybe a script that would automatically burn the contents of a specific directory to cd when a blank disc is inserted?

Thanks,

Shotwise

p.s. first post!

You could probably set this machine up using NFS or Samba, considering your other users machines are using Linux or Windows OS, then just have this machine with the CD Burner have access to that particular directory on the centralized server to pull the files from to burn..

There is a web application to burn CDs but I can't remember the name.

You can upload files and then burn them from a remote PC using your browser.

Just a thought, if you get this working, make sure that the speed of the burning is not faster then the speed of your network transfer rate.
