"Burning" A ISO to Hard Drive

Is there a way to create a partition on a hard drive and "burn" an iso file to it. Example: "Burning" knoppix disk to /dev/hda1 and pointing grub to its own bootsector? I have a laptop with no bios detectable cdrom (pcmcia) and i have a distro like knoppix in an iso file on the hard drive (hda2). can I "Burn" this to the hard drive to make the harddrive think its the cdrom.???

Yep, here ya go for detailed instructions.

Also, there are ways to use knoppix more like a regular linux install too, you can find them on the same site, www.knoppix.net
