Building an Ubuntu DVR

I am looking to build a DVR box out of Ubuntu. I have all the hardware I need, except the tuner card and video card. I have heard that Hauppage works the best with Linux so I would like to find out for sure. I would like to spend less than $300 on this box. I need to be able to record TV and DVD, burn DVD, capture video from other devices, and connect to the network with wireless. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated for hardware and software.

I have a Hauppauge PVR-150 that I like. I wish I would have gotten a dual input though (PVR-350, I believe). For software, I use MythTV and like it. The DVD archive has been a little flaky, but otherwise it's great.
