Bootup log file?

One quick question?

is there a bootup log file? in Redhat 7.2?
you know when it is starting services and mounting away at great speeds when the system starts up.
I dont have time to write down, let alone read what it is doing!
all I know is that there are a whole lot of oks and then some big red fails!

Its those fails that i want to have a closer look at.
if there is a bootup log file
where is it?
