Bootsplash with existing initrd
I want to use BootSplash in Slackware, but I already boot with an intrd. What do I need to add to my already existing initrd to get bootsplash working?

If I did understand correctly, you have to edit your grub.conf like this... (my config)
Code:
title = Gentoo Linux 2.6.7
root (hd0,0)
kernel /kernel-2.6.7-smb root=/dev/hda3 video=vesafb:ywrap,mtrr vga=0x317 splash=silent
initrd= /boot/initrd-gentoo-1024x768
I am not too familiar with lilo, so if you need further information this gentoo guide could help..

There are two types of bootsplash.......those with a bootloader and the other one is for a modified kernel
If you mean splashimage for grub I have made up a howto

No I mean BOOTSPLASH. I have the kernel compiled for it and have the bootsplash package. But what the scripts do is create an initrd which displays the image. Problem is, I already boot with an initrd, so whatever bootsplash does in its' initrd I need to do in mine.

splash -s -f /etc/bootsplash/themes/[themename]/config/bootsplash-1024x768.cfg >> /boot/initrd.img.2.6.8
If you already use a ramdisk to boot your kernel, you can use the command above (with the correct name of the existing ramdisk) to append that file.
