I am having problems booting the Mandrake 8.2 installer from the boot floppy I have, I get to the part where it boots from the floppy and get a 'BOOT FAILED' message.
I think this is most likely a hardware problem because when I try to boot a DOS command prompt from my Windows 95 boot disk which I have been using for fdisk it doesn't work either.
Both of these disks have worked before.
I have tried to boot from the CD-ROM but I havn't been able to get that to work (before or after the floppy booting stopped working)
Any help on this would be great.

couple of thing you can check

1. Is your cd-rom drive a bootable cd-rom drive?

2. Did you change the BIOS start up options to have the cd boot before your HD?

Hey thanks, that seemed to work this time, I must have been doing something wrong the last few times I tried booting from the CD-ROM.
