Booting off ISO image GRUB/LILO?
Is there a way to boot a Linux distribution off an ISO image via GRUB or LILO? I need to build a system where I can push new versions of a distribution out onto a larger number of systems, and it would be ideal if the distributions were contained in an ISO image. That way, you could drop a new image on a system, reboot and you'd be running a new version of the distro.
Any pointers would be appreciated. |
Neither Grub nor Lilo support the iso9660 filesystem, and therefore cannot boot from that filesystem.
