Booting from a USB HDD - HOW DO I
Booting from a USB HDD - HOW DO I

I have a 120GB IDE HDD in a USB enclosure. I want to install RedHat 8 onto the USB HDD and then create a bootable Linux Floppy which will allow me to run the RedHat OS from the USB HDD. Does anyone have some instruction on how to do this?

All help will be appreciated.

I am only just getting back into Linux and the kernal compiling...I have done a bit of a search and they all talk about the creation of a floppy disk with a patched kernal that delays the load process after loading the USB drivers which then loads the Linux OS from the discovered USB HDD. But how do you actually do it...?
