Boot-up numlock
Is there a way to boot Linux (Fedora Core 4) so that num-lock is always enabled by default? I've set the BIOS to enable num-lock at boot, but as soon as the kernel starts, numlock gets turned off again.
I've seen references to bits of software that can do it but I'd prefer a way of doing it by just modifying a config file - if this is possible. |
Wanted to fix this myself a few days ago, then noticed someone linked this:

If you are using KDE just go to the control centre and select Periphals->Keyboard and in the bottom panel set as appopriate.

I'm using gnome so I don't have that option.
ethics, I'd seen that - looks like that'll be the way I have to go. Thanks all. |
