Angry Boot Up Error...

i dont know how this came to, but it appeared all the sudden a few weeks ago and i havent been able to fix it, when linux starts, it will run all the [ok]'s and such, then when its about to boot into the OS, it has the screen flicker for 5 to 10 minutes, and gives me the error,

INIT: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

as it says, if i let it sit, 5 minutes later it goes through this again. anyone know what i can do to fix it?

thanks, -sam
