Boot Loader options

I'm about to reinstall RHL 9 because my brother (for the nth time) thrashed his Win2K partition, I'm wondering if installing the Grub boot loader on the first sector of the boot partition (hda2) would solve this problem (reinstalling RHL everytime I reformat and reinstall Win2k).
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

No need to reinstall RH everytime W2K crashes. You need to create a floppy boot disk.

You need to boot the 1st CD to rescue mode or whatever RH calls it.

Assuming your using grub run grub-install. Or there might be an option on the rescue mode to restore the bootloader.

Create a boot floppy disk using mkbootdisk see man pages for syntax. Then when W2K is reinstalled just boot from floppy and restore bootloader.
