Boot kernel


When I boot the RH linux , there are many kernel that I can choose , it will automatically boot the top one of the menu , how can I force the system boot to a specify kernel ? thx.

If you are at the console you can use the up and down arrow keys to select one. If you want to change the default entry then edit your bootloader configuration.

Hello,

so log as root, and edit /etc/lilo.conf (I think that your bootloader is Lilo) and change the line "default=something" to "default=something else"
Then don't forget to run "lilo" command if you want your changes to be made at next boot.
