Boot fail "apm: BIOS version 1.2 Flags" Help please

Hi,
I am completely new to Linux and am looking for help with an error I am getting
I installed redhat 9 on a PC that already has W2003 installed. W2003 is taking about half the disk space (~10GB) and I am giving redhat the rest (~8GB). I let the redhat install handle the partitioning
Everything seemed to go fine with the install but when I try to boot into Redhat it stops at the line that reads "apm: BIOS version 1.2 Flags 0x03 (Driver version 1.16)"
Can anyone help with how to fix this? Help would be much appreciated!!!!

Try disabling power management settings in bios and rebooting
Play around with power management and see if you can get in

No luck. I changed all the power management options but the boot stopped in the same place

Try to boot into single user mode.

If that fails at the same place then I am lost.
