boot and instillation problems

I have downloaded Fedora-9-x86_64-DVD.iso and burned it to a dvd.

the dvd does not contain a single iso file but many files: there are four folders (images, isolinux, Packages, repodata), 11 files and one readme - when i put the dvd in the drive and restart it asks me to insert a bootable media into the drive! i'm running an amd 6000+ dual core.

been pulling my hair out :P all sounds so simple in the readme file doesn't it! downloaded the live version and am gonna give that a try.

do the files i mentioned above sound right - in other words am i using a dvd that would be expected to work? anyone had problems like this before?

An iso file is an image file, so if you burned this to a DVD and you see multiple files that means the ISO burn was successful.

Your error message asking you to insert a bootable media sounds like your bios is not reading your DVD drive for boot. Try entering the setup of your BIOS and set your 1st Boot Device to the DVD device.
