For the few that keep having XServer crash and throw you out, I believe I have found the fix. If you deal with random xserver crashes, with SuSE 9 Personal, I have set the color to 15bit on a 1024x768 resolution @60 refresh rate. I have been running for 10 hours straight and no crash yet. Good luck PS: I am running an onboard VIA video card.
