Ok, started Uniflash from the UBCD but the option "Flash BIOS image INCLUDING bootblock" is grayed out. As you certainly must feel be now, this is even the first time I flash a BIOS.

I really appreciate your help in this matter.
Damn, why do they make this so hard. And then people say Linux is though. Flashing a BIOS is my nightmare from now on.

I tried downloading the drdflash floppy image from www.bootdisk.com and making an iso out of it, together with my flashing utility.
The cdrom booted, but after that, I only have an AUTOEXEC.BAT file and a COM file on the drive. No trace of my utility. I tried the same thing with the FLASHCD.iso, which is basically the same tool. Same problem.

Is there anybody who can help me here? I 'm really at my wit's hand.

$mkisofs -b boot/boot.img -c boot/boot.catalog -o flashcd.iso flashcd
When I try booting with this cd, I get "....Boot error". Can anybody explain what I've done wrong? Or give me a better solution to flash the BIOS?
I think the error is because the iso contruct is not correct. Try this;
1. Move the boot.img to a temp directory of /home/usr_name eg /home/usr_name/temp
2. do mkisofs -r -b /home/usr_name/temp/boot.img -c boot.cat -o /home/usr_name/temp/flashcd.iso .

Note the "." on the end as it is important. You can then burn the file to cd and then use it to boot the system.
