Bios Lockout Bypass

Does anyone know of a way to bypass a password lockout that begins at bootup?

I have a Dell Latitude c610 I bought at a garage sale.

Easiest way is to remove the battery for a minute or so.. forgot the other way to do it on a laptop.

Shouldn't this belong in Acid's forum.. ?? Its clearly not Linux related.. :D

same way to do it for a laptop, but becareful when you remove the battery, most of the battery lies beneath the keyboard, i think so.

Check you bios version. You should be able to she this at startup.
Now go to www.google.com or another searchengine and check if there is a default password for your bios.

And you can always try to ask the password at the guys from Dell. They probably give you a solution.

By the way, you can also flush your battery with some help of a paperclip.
Just turn off your computer and connect the paperclip to 2 of the pins of the batery(you just have to find out which pins).
