Bios Corrupted on Dell Inspiron 5100

I installed Ubuntu Studio and I decided to Install The Standard
Ubuntu Distro. I noticed that I was unable to boot from the CD and It seems that the Bios was locked out.. After some research it seems that
my bios was corrupted. At this point my installation of Ubuntu Studio
was at boot giving me the Grub 15 error.Since there is no Operating
system I can run anytools to help restore my bios to working order

Does anybody Know a Linux or Windows (I am desperate) fix

Linux or Windows isn't going to fix your BIOS, but a manufacturer boot or flash will. You probably need to visit your friendly neighborhood Dell site for a fix to address the BIOS.

Then you're BIOS probably needs to be flashed by other means. Back to the Dell website or support to find out how to flash it to original manufacturer settings.

The Answear

I have found the solution,my friends

Since the hard drive I believe was set to be the primary boot device
I removed it. Since the only thing I had left to boot from was a CD-Rom/DVD-Rom. I successfully booted Ubuntu 8.04 after that I
then used the iso file from Dell and Upgraded my Bios. I then installed
ubuntu 8.04 and am currently playing Battle of Wesnoth and typing
a paper in Office 2003.

Thanks for helping me think out of the Box....

Sincerely
John Allen
